Abigale Warner

Special Educational Needs
& Careers Administrator

Abi has worked for West Norfolk Academies Trust for 6 years and is currently based at Marshland High School.

She first started her journey with the Trust at St Clement’s High School as an Apprentice Administrator. After successfully completing her apprenticeship, she undertook a finance role at Springwood High School, saying “I had the most wonderful 4 years working with a brilliant team at Springwood but I found myself thriving for a new challenge to better myself and I wanted a role where I knew I could make a difference while still maintaining my administration skills”.

Abi finds the best part of her current role as a Special Educational Needs & Careers Administrator is making a real difference to young people's lives. For example, she said “organising work experience for the Year 10 students at Marshland was hard work but worth it for the students. Also, the small things can make a big difference to students, even if it is just a friendly face they see in the corridors”.

Abi’s biggest achievement was organising the in-house careers fair. She said “it was a great success and as a school we were given so much positive feedback”.

“The Trust is a great place to work, it has a real community feel, everyone offers support to one another. No two days are the same, it is a full on but rewarding place to work, and I feel very lucky to be a part of the Trust.  My one piece of knowledge to a new member of staff would be, to take every opportunity that is given to you and don't be afraid to challenge yourself”.
