WNAT Risk Assessment - COVID-19

As you may be aware we receive regular updates from the Government regarding the opening of our schools and the necessary requirements we are advised to put into place to provide a safe environment for our students and staff.

The Trustees hold fortnightly meetings with members of the WNAT Executive team to ensure that we are prepared for all eventualities.

It is important to understand that this document is dynamic and live and will be updated regularly to ensure that the RA reflects the latest government guidance.

Each school, within the trust  will then apply the risk assessment to their own settings. Ensuring  that every member of staff is clear on their role and school procedures and that the school regularly reflects on how well the implementation of the risk assessment is proceeding. 

If you have any questions regarding the RA please direct them to your child's school in the first instance.

Government Announcement - Reopening of Schools w/c 8th March 2021

In line with the Governments announcement on Monday 22 February 2021 all our schools will be opening to all students week commencing 8th March 2021.

More information when it becomes available will be sent to parents and carers from the schools.

Government Announcement - School Closures - Monday 4th January 2021

In line with the Prime Ministers announcement on Monday 4th January all the schools within our Trust have closed. However we will be remaining open for those students of essential workers and those that are most vulnerable. If you think that your child falls into this category then please contact the individual school.

Teaching for all years groups will now be conducted remotely via an online platform, if you have any queries or issues regarding this then please contact the schools direct.

More information will be relayed to parents and carers, from the schools, as it becomes available.

Letter for parents about COVID-19 symptoms - 23 Sept 2020

Public Health England have produced a letter for schools to distribute to parents which explains when a person requires a coronavirus test and what the symptoms of coronavirus are. 

The intention of the letter is to help prevent children being taken out of school unnecessarily and answer some of the questions parents may have around testing.

Autumn Term

NHS Test and Trace

We may be required to pass on the contact details you provide to us when signing in as a visitor or contractor at one of our schools to HM Government as part of the NHS 'Test and Trace' scheme. While we encourage you to allow us to share your contact information with the Test and Trace teams if necessary, it is not mandatory and you will be given the option to opt out of this service during the sign in process at your school.

Primary Schools

All Primary  Schools will remain closed during the Summer holiday.
Parents/carers will receive  details relating to the reopening in September 2020.  However please contact your child's school direct if you have any queries.

Secondary Schools

All Secondary Schools  will remain closed during the Summer holiday.
Please visit your School website for details relating to the collection of examination results, and September reopening. However please contact your child's school direct if you have any queries.

Sixth Form

Springwood SIxth Form will remain closed during the summer holiday.
Please visit the Sixth Form  website for details relating to the  collection of examination results, Sixth Form enrolment and September reopening. However please contact the Sixth Form direct if you have any queries.
