Freddie Reed

1:1 Teaching Assistant

Freddie works as a 1:1 Teaching assistant at Springwood High School.

Freddie joined Springwood in 2015 as a student and has never left, continuing on as part of our dedicated team of Teaching Assistants & working at Springwood since 2021.

Freddie said supporting the students is very rewarding, working with them every day watching them become more resilient, grow in confidence and work towards their goals & dreams. I have not left Springwood since starting as a student & have worked here for 2 academic years & hope to continue.

One of his biggest achievements since joining Springwood is becoming a Norfolk Scholar and winning the Criminology award in 2022.  This is an honorary award created by Norfolk County Council which recognises outstanding performance, Freddie said ‘I felt proud to be recognised & win this award’.

He would say to anyone thinking of joining West Norfolk Academies Trust, “go for it, it will be the best decision you have made and you will become part of a fantastic team. Being part of the Trust is brilliant, everyone is supportive and helpful and the best thing is you can laugh together with everyone which is good for morale”.
